A large investment is placed on product design and technology. Our internal Design and Development Department use state of the art development techniques and equipment to produce one of the worlds more comprehensive ranges of MIG/MAG torches which are designed and built to perform.



The development of a product begins with 3D Design, Visualisation and Rapid Prototyping. Our systems include Pro-Engineer Wildfire and Autocad which all serve to ensure the Department’s maxim of ‘right first time’.

Working plastic models are turned around within 3 days via internet links to rapid prototyping bureaus. The metal components are produced concurrently via DNC links to CNC Machine tools direct to our factory floor.


Prototypes are then put thorugh a rigorous testing procedure to ensure the product delivers the design requirements and withstands the rigours of a working environment.

After initial testing products are placed on field trails to ensure the reliability and performance in a real working environment.

Each new product is project managed and our systems are independently audited to ISO9001:2008. The Systems are strictly followed throughout the design process on both new designs and design modifications. All this enables us to bring to market new product cost effectively and with reduced timescales without compromising on product performance or reliability.
